Theres no money in next gen hardware. It takes years to break even. To me its obvious that M$ and Sony would want their current gen systems to last a decade or more.

31 million ps3's sold.

All next gen consoles will suffer the same fate until one of two things happen:
1. Larger cases.
2. Better cooling solutions are found.
